What are the oldest records in the collection? PDF Print E-mail
The records date back to the early 1660’s to the start of the British civil administration of Jamaica. The earliest records are the Minutes of the Council (beginning in1661) and Proceedings of the House of Assembly, Patents of Land granted to early Settlers and Parish registers of baptismal, marriage and burial registers of the Church of England in Jamaica.
