                                                        iv.      Manumission of Slaves (1747 - 1838) – 2 indices exist  in this series (1B/11/6), which lists the slaves who were freed, giving details of their names, persons who freed them and the cost.

                                                           v.      Slave Registers (1817 – 1832 )  - There is only one index relating to these records (1B/11/7). These volumes in this series provide information on the return of the number, class and condition of the slaves held by each slave owner.  The registers were prepared in accordance with “An Act for a more particular return of slaves in this island and the enrolment thereof”.

                                                         vi.      Parish Registers (1666 - 1804 ) - These are Registers of Baptisms, Marriages and Burials mainly of the Churches of England in Jamaica (1B/11/8). There are Parish Registers for sixteen (16) parishes with the earliest date being 1666-1804 for the parish of Clarendon.

                                                       vii.      Patents (1661 – 1940)– there are 2 indices for these records (1B/11/1) with Vol.1 (1661 – 1826) on microfilm.  This series includes information on land grants to early British settlers, official appointments and grants of naturalization to aliens by royal letters patent.  They also include enrolments of credentials of clergy living in the island.
